Welcome to the home page for Briar Chapel pickleball. Currently this wiki is open to resident members of the Briar Chapel Pickleball club. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America. We are approaching 300 members as of May 2022.

Our goal is to promote a safe, fun, friendly, and social pickleball experience at BC. All beginners, most novices, and many advanced players only play socially. Meaning, they play for fun. Maybe 10%-15% of the players play competitively. Most play at BC is social. However, there is a competitive set of players and this may appeal to you. We are working to support some competitive play at all levels. However, the main goal is safe, fun friendly, and social pickleball.

This wiki is hosted on a commercially available website that specializes in hosting this type of wiki. As a world-wide available site, security and privacy are required. The login should keep access of internal information local to members of the club. Things like the newsletter should have no or minimal personally identifiable information and are available read-only to the public.

~~Schedule Changes~~

Below is the revised schedule effective May 1. Highlights of the schedule changes are as follows:

1. Pickleball has reserved time daily from 8 – 11 AM on courts 4a, 4b, 6 & 7 all days except Sunday
2. Competitive play and open play will alternate between courts 4a, 4b and 6, 7 Monday thru Friday. Competitive play is added for players at skill levels 3.0 and above that want to play in a more competitive manner.
3. Advanced play (skill levels 3.5 and above) is added to courts 6 & 7 each Monday at 6 pm and Saturday at 8 am.
4. Ladies Night Thursdays on courts 4a & 4b is changed to 5 – 7 pm.
5. Introductory level players have courts 6 & 7 reserved each Wednesday at 6 pm.
6. Intermediate level players (Skill level 3.0 – 3.4) have courts 6 & 7 reserved each Thursday at 6 pm.
7. Pickleball has the lighted Courts 4a and 4b the first and 3rd Fridays of each month.
8. Community time is first come first served where indicated.

These changes are intended to aid development and provide players the ability to choose to play with players at their skill level.

Please do not play below or above your skill level during reserved time as best you can for everyone’s enjoyment.

The schedule will be reviewed periodically as we learn how well the changes are working.
